Champion Center, located in Lompoc, CA, was owned and operated by the Lompoc Valley Medical Center as a chemical dependency rehabilitation hospital and residential treatment program. Champion Center provided a full spectrum of addiction treatment for patients and their families to recover from the disease of addiction and its related disorders The facility is now permanently closed.

Champion Center was built by ProWest Constructors in the demolished and remodeled 43,000 square foot old Lompoc Hospital building. The new building was designed by NTD Architecture specifically for chemical dependency treatment.

History
Champion Center is a product of a partnership between the Lompoc Valley Medical Center and Addiction Medicine Services, Inc. The Lompoc Valley Medical Center was one of the first operating healthcare districts established in California. Addiction Medicine Services, Inc. provides behavioral health and chemical dependency clinical services.
Closure
- On April 21, 2017 Jim Raggio, Lompoc Valley Medical Center CEO, announced that the Champion Center had stopped accepting new patients and closed its Medical Services Unit following the partial retirement of the facilty's medical director, Dr. Gilbert Andersen.
- On June 23, 2017 Lompoc Valley Medical Center announced that "the final patient of the Champion Center successfully completed chemical dependency detoxification treatment and graduated from the facility".
Naming and licensing
The entire campus is often referred to as "Champion Center" however the facility has two separate licenses. One license is for "The Champion Center" is for a 34-bed chemical dependency recovery hospital. The other licence is for "The Oaks-A Residential Treatment Program at the Champion Center", licensed by the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) for a 16-bed residential treatment program.

CARF accreditation
Champion Center has a three-year accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) International for the following programs:

- Inpatient Treatment
- Intensive Outpatient Treatment
- Partial Hospitalization
- Residential Treatment
CIHQ accreditation
In March 2015, Champion Center also earned a three-year accreditation from the Center for Improvement in Healthcare Quality (CIHQ).
